Graham Techler won the 2025 Richard Rodgers Award for the musical Helsinki (Selection; NAMT 2024, Semifinalist; O'Neill 2023 & 2024, American Music Theatre Project 2023). Other plays include The Panic of '29 (59E59), The Tycoons! (Less Than Rent), Lane Gaullson's Revenge (The Brick), and Trust Fund (Finalist; O'Neill 2022). He's a member/resident with EST/Youngblood, Colt Coeur, the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, and the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project. He also regularly contributes writing to McSweeney's Internet Tendency and The New Yorker — including "Our Upcoming Theatrical Season" and "The Time Has Come for Hollywood CEOs to Strike" — performs original characters monthly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, writes songs for the variety show Stage Time with PJ Adzima (The Slipper Room), and has appeared on Fairview (Comedy Central), Our Cartoon President (Showtime), and Tooning Out the News (Paramount+). The Brooklyn Daily Eagle called him "one of Brooklyn's best young comedic minds," and The New York Sun admitted he was a "deft satirist" within the context of a largely negative review. He lives in Brooklyn.
